‘The Big Move’
The decision to move into a retirement village either out of want or necessity is a big one and we know first hand what an overwhelming time it can be for you. Often you are moving out of a beloved family home filled with a lifetime of memories. In most cases, you’ll be moving into a smaller home. No matter the situation, our role is to support, respect and guide you through the process. Everyone copes differently and everyone has different requirements and we pride ourselves on knowing what will make this unknown and often scary time easier for you.
We find a cup of tea definitely helps too and that’s why your kettle, cups and tea bags are loaded on the truck last so they come off first!
What we can do for you
Home Sale Preparation
Organising house & garden maintenance, repairs, assisting with property appraisals, liaising with real estate agents, preparing for open homes, arranging home staging
Decluttering and Downsizing
Selling, disposing and/or donating household items to your chosen charity or ours. No commission charged on the sale items. We recommend you start this process as early as possible especially if you plan to tackle it yourself. We are happy to provide tips and tricks to you.
Moving Services
Full pack, move, and unpack services - we even make your bed for you!
Other related services
Manage change of address, arranging utility connections, hanging of artwork, interior design support, purchasing of new household items, stocking up the fridge/pantry
Post Move services
Arranging an exit clean for your previous home, handing keys over to the agent, putting your bins out on rubbish day
We are able to help with as much or as little as you like and there really isn’t much we can’t do!

Unfortunately because every house and it’s contents differ, as well as your requirements, it is not possible to provide pricing here on our website. In most cases, a quotation can be given, based on the information your provide us, over email or the telephone. Alternatively we are more than happy to visit your home for a no-obligation free quote.

‘Where do you operate?’
Our office is based in the Eastern Suburbs however we service Central and East Auckland also.
‘I have so much stuff, its overwhelming!’
We hear this a lot and it is often the barrier that prevents people moving out of their current home. We can work along side you or your family members to determine what will and won’t be taken with you. For items of value, we can sell these on your behalf either by using traders, auction houses or online selling. We always endeavor to get the best price for you so the sooner you can look at downsizing, the better. For all other items, we can arrange for these to be dropped to family or a charity of your choice or ours.
‘Do you take away all the packaging?’
Absolutely! At the end of the unpack, all packaging material is moved out of your new home so you can move around freely and safely.
‘How long does it take to move me’
For the actual pack, move and unpack portion of your relocation, we allocate two days. The first day is for the packing (but don’t worry, we leave you with the items you’ll need overnight and in the morning!), then we return bright and early the next day with the truck and usually have you settled in your new home by mid-late afternoon.
‘Do I need to be there on move day?’
Well that’s entirely up to you, however we do recommend you head out and enjoy your day and leave us to manage everything. We would have already spoken about where you would like your furniture, we take photos of how things were before and replicate them at the other end, and we even bring over your fridge and freezer contents. Our aim is take away the stress of moving and ensuring your belongings are handled with care is our priority.
